Pre-plan Funeral Ceremonies
Preparing for the inevitable ensures those you leave behind know what you want, and eases their pain in preparing to say goodbye.
Ghoulish? No. Sensible, yes.
At a time of loss, facing decisions is hard enough, let alone the anxiety of wondering if you're doing the right thing – and what if family members can't agree? That can leave resentment for years.
The FINAL ORDERS Pre-plan Service
Our FINAL ORDERS Pre-plan Service allows you to record your wishes,
free from any arrangement with a particular funeral director.
Document as much as you feel comfortable with: as well as recording the facts needed on a death certificate, what do you want done with your remains? How should people mark your passing – a requiem mass? A formal service or a celebration? Some particular music? A riotous wake? Is there a special place you would like to be buried or have your ashes placed? If nobody knows, this isn't going to happen.
Rilke conducts a pre-planning session where you, your family,
or even a gathering of friends, can develop plans in a relaxed, supportive
and positive way.
Hospital and hospice visits for pre-planning include calling in to get
to know each other. I then visit as often as needed to satisfy your planning
goals and put you at ease.
Music is an important part of life and farewells. Our pre-planning service
can include collecting the music you would like played at your funeral,
celebration of your life, memorial service or wake.
